WHO WE ARE
The Rock Church is a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled church existing to serve Plymouth, MI. We are made up of friends and neighbors who love Jesus, who love the community of Plymouth and want everyone to understand just how much Jesus loves them, too. We believe that the only foundation for a fulfilled life is found in God’s Word. We want to help everyone discover the truth of God’s Word; how it helps us grow in faith and live out God’s purpose for our lives.
WE ARE CALLED TO . . .
DISCOVER TRUTH
GROW IN FAITH
LIVE IN PURPOSE
Discovering something new is life changing. Discovering the truth about God transforms lives, renews hope and restores relationships. At The Rock Church, we discover the truth of God’s love and His unique purpose for our lives.
We seek to grow in faith and mature in our relationship with Jesus Christ. At The Rock Church, we are encouraged to develop a daily walk with God through personal prayer and devotion and to grow in faith together by attending small groups, prayer meetings, bible studies and worship services.
The truth of God’s Word comes alive when we live out our faith. We live out our faith when we apply God’s Word to our lives and use the unique gifts He has given us. At the Rock Church, we seek to serve others and reach our community with the life-changing message of God’s grace and love so they can find healing and purpose for their lives.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
ABOUT THE BIBLE
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is true in all that it teaches. As the flawless Word of God, it is our only authority for what we believe and how we live.
ABOUT GOD
We believe in one God who is the creator and sustainer of all things. He has revealed Himself to mankind as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit) in the New Testament Church. Jesus is God revealed in the flesh, who became man to take upon the sins of the world through His death, burial and resurrection. Following this, He sent His Spirit to dwell among those who believe. To see Jesus, is to see God. The Lord, our God.
ABOUT THE CHURCH
We believe the church has been called out of the world to be a group of people who follow Jesus Christ fully and love one another sacrificially. We believe the church, through the power of the Holy Spirit, is called to affect genuine spiritual change in the community. We believe the local church is the hope of the world! The church is called to be one group of people made up of many members; all using their talents and abilities for the cause of Christ.
ABOUT THE FUTURE
We believe and anxiously await the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will come and fulfill the promise of taking His church to Heaven. In the end, there will be the final judgment. Scripture tells us that the righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous will inherit eternal death.
ABOUT SIN AND SALVATION
We believe that because of the original sin of Adam and Eve, all of humanity is in a fallen state and in need of salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
ABOUT THE GOSPEL & CONVERSION
The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We express our belief in the gospel through our obedience to the gospel. We obey the gospel and apply it to our lives by repenting of our sins (death to sin), being baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection). This threefold experience is the consistent pattern of conversion in the early church.
ABOUT CHRISTIAN LIVING
We learn from scripture that God has always required a people who have been set-apart for Himself. As Christians we are to love God and love others. We are to worship God joyfully and seek to live a life that is pleasing to him both inwardly and outwardly—in our thoughts, words, and actions. We are empowered to live a life pleasing to God through the Holy Spirit. As a Spirit-filled church, we believe that the supernatural gifts of the Spirit are for the church today and are available to all Spirit-filled believers.
